Calvary’s Leadership Team will be hosting a short Members Meeting between our Sunday services on February 7 in order to request the approval of our membership for the set-up of a trust fund needed for the refugee family coming into our care shortly. We are asking all members to attend this meeting in order to hear this presentation and participate in a vote. Please talk to Bill Moulton or Geoff John-West if you have any questions concerning this.
Do you have a creative inclination? This is a hands-on retreat for anyone and every level of creativity wanting to connect with God through the arts. Participants will be encouraged to create in the art of their choice -- painting, writing, photography, dance, etc. Watercolor instruction and coaching on other mediums (i.e. painting, drawing, and writing) will be available. For more info, click here. Early bird price ends on January 1.
All interested people are invited to Geoff & Liz’s home for another planning meeting, as we prepare for the arrival of our refugee family. At this next meeting, we will be discussing: 1) expectations; 2) management of funds; 3) assimilation; and 4) budget. There will also be some brainstorming time. Please come for dinner at 6:00 p.m. and a good time of interaction prior to our meeting.

We will celebrate our first Sunday of Advent with two very special Sunday morning concerts, featuring singer-songwriter Russ Rosen and his band, as well as delightful storyteller, Justyn Rees. The ‘Christmas Tales’ presentation highlights songs and stories about the various characters involved in the Christmas story in a way that you’ve never heard before. This is a very worthwhile presentation to invite work colleagues, neighbors and friends to.
