We will be heading out to Pigeon Lake Camp Ground to hang out as a group, have fun, and most importantly learn more about Jesus! This is going to be an amazing one night camp over of fun, friends, food and fellowship. We are very excited for this camp retreat weekend! As our student population returns home from the universities and colleges that they have been attending here in Edmonton, it leaves a noticeable mark in our Sunday morning attendance. But this also provides for us the opportunity to move down to one service over the late spring and summer months, joining the people from both services into one. And it means that our worship teams don’t have quite as long a playing time each Sunday, and they appreciate that as well. We will be moving to one service on May 22, changing our service time each Sunday to 10:00 a.m. Each Sunday’s worship service will begin with a fellowship time just before 10:00 o'clock, when you can come and connect with other members of our church community. Invite your friends to come with you and be REFRESHED in our summer teaching series, as we again look into the Psalms.

Just like our homes and yards, the place where we regularly come together for worship and fellowship also needs some TLC. We invite you to contribute a few hours at our annual work bee towards the upkeep of our church facility. Come and invest alongside other members of your church family in order to get all the tasks done more quickly. A bonus incentive is that there will be a free lunch BBQ for all participants at noon!
This friday evening we will be gathering at the Walker’s to enjoy some quality time together as a Youth Group! The evening will kick off with a tasty snack, followed by a time studying the Bible and discussing how it applies to our lives. Following our study we will hang out and play some games together! The Single Life Workshop is coming to Calvary in August 2016! This ten week course is designed for you to discover how to more authentically connect to yourself, God, and others in simple and practical ways. This course is for anyone who is single/dating/engaged and has a desire to understand what healthy relationships of all kinds look like and how this begins with our own spiritual health. The info session will be held in-between services, upstairs in the youth room.

Acts of service and kindness have a tremendous effect upon the people living in our communities. Because of God's love for the people living in the Ritchie & Hazeldean communities, He has placed Calvary right in the middle of them! Over the years as a church we have looked for different ways to engage with and be a light to the people of these communities. Again this year, one of those ways will be in participating in the annual garbage clean up throughout the Mill Creek Ravine, then enjoying an awesome free BBQ at the Richie Hall directly afterwards. We invite you to be a part of this with us! We will be cancelling the 11:00 o'clock service on May 1 in order to all go out to this community endeavor together.
