This friday evening we will be gathering at the Walker’s to enjoy some quality time together as a Youth Group! The evening will kick off with a tasty snack, followed by a time studying the Bible and discussing how it applies to our lives. Following our study we will hang out and play some games together! What do sack races, tug-of-wars, water-balloon volleyball, and the candy man all have in common. They're all part of our church picnic fun! All of this is combined with a huge barbeque supper! This afternoon picnic involving our whole church family is also a great event to invite other friends to who aren’t a part of a church community. Of course it’s a very informal setting, involving a lot of very casual circles of visiting and fellowship, combined with some really awesome games for our kids. In order to have food for everyone attending, we invite people to contribute either a dessert or a salad. Burgers, hot dogs and drinks are provided by the church.
On this Friday evening we will be playing a real life game of Mario Cart! We will be creating a course just like the game for us to race on and we will have a blast recreating this super fun video game. Afterwards we will have snack and a short devo where we will learn a bit more about God and how He wants us to live our lives. Over the summer, all young adults are invited to come out the Walker’s to enjoy a time of community. We will be listening and sharing God stories, eating tasty food, and hanging out! If you need directions to the Walker’s contact Matt (780-232-6365).
We are introducing our new teaching series (Refresh: Praying the Psalms) this Sunday, with our first topic being "What are the Psalms Good For: An Introduction to the Psalter." The Psalms give substance and shape to our daily prayers. Join us as we experience various Psalms coming to life, bringing much needed refreshment.
This Sunday our children are invited to their extended worship time at KiDZChurch! Check-in is at 10:00 a.m. at the children’s booth, and then kids will go immediately downstairs.
Don't forget to come on out to the Community Garage Sale in our church parking lot on June 4th in order to mingle with members of our community who are participating, as well as to get in on some of the many great deals to be found. Your participation is really important, and will be an encouragement to those who have planned and prepared for this event over the past few months!
It is the first friday of the month so we will be meeting at Matt and Erin’s for a time of food, fun, and learning as well! We will start the evening off with some delicious food and then dive into our bible study. After our study we will hang out and play some games together! We always look forward to home group times.
