Over the past 15 years, Calvary has engaged in numerous cross-cultural and local mission trips. If you have interest in helping to determine our next outreach destination for Calvary, please join us for this time of prayer and discussion.
We provided a large amount of information with the hope that it would begin a conversation with our church. And now that you have heard from us, we would love to hear from you. We would like to invite everyone to attend a Family Potluck at the church. During our time together, we will share a meal and conversation about key initiatives that were presented at the AGM. If you were unable to attend the AGM and would like to attend the potluck, please do! We would just ask that you take the time this week to email us for the reports/documents so that you can read through them and get up to speed with everyone. We ask that each family bring a main course to be shared and that singles and young couples bring a salad or dessert. We will eat together as families and then send the kids downstairs […]
This will be the first Sunday of our new teaching series, "Signposts: On the Road to the Cross." Join us as we begin the Lenten journey.
We will stuff our faces with yummy food, have a great bible study time, then hang out and play some games. Drop off and pick up at Walker's.
On Ash Wednesday Calvary is marking the beginning of the season of Lent (and our new teaching series entitled "Signposts . . . on the Road to the Cross") with a special contemplative service of singing, prayers and reflections. Join us for an hour long service that will help orient us on this road as we remember, over the next 40 days, the incarnation of Christ on earth, his temptation, his ministry, his death on Good Friday, and resurrection on Easter Sunday. Who goeth in the way which Christ hath gone, Is much more sure to meet with him, than one That travelleth by-ways: Perhaps my God, though he be far before, May turn, and take me by the hand, and more May strengthen my decays. - George Herbert (1633)
Our Leadership Team is extending an invitation to all Calvary members, as well as adherents, to attend our upcoming A.G.M. It will be a time for reviewing Ministry Reports, as well as discussing various initiatives for the coming year at Calvary. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend!
This will be the final Sunday in our "Money Matters" teaching series. Is there a reward for our generosity, and if so, how do we get it? As you prepare for this Sunday, please take time to read Hebrews 11:10 – 26.
We will be creating a board game that is life sized! It will be amazing! Don’t miss it. Drop off and pick up at Calvary.
We are continuing our teaching series entitled "Money Matters!" So does our treasure (investments) follow our heart, or does our heart follow our treasure? As you prepare for this Sunday, please take time to read Luke 12:13 - 34.
This twelve session course is designed to help couples of any age gain insight and wisdom in how to further connect on an emotional, sexual, and spiritual level. We will learn simple and practical tools in a prayerful and supportive environment. Our plan is to host the first 5 sessions once a month until summer (the third Saturday of the month), and then start up again September 23. For more information, contact Pastor Matt, Manny & Nikki Fast, or Rusty & Mercy Foerger. Couples can register online at http://bit.ly/marriageeworkshop.
A yummy dessert, fellowship, and a great bible study! Drop off and pick up at Walker's.
