Ash Wednesday Service
Calvary Baptist Church 7215 97 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, CanadaOn Ash Wednesday Calvary is marking the beginning of the season of Lent (and our new teaching series entitled "Signposts . . . on the Road to the Cross") with a special contemplative service of singing, prayers and reflections. Join us for an hour long service that will help orient us on this road as we remember, over the next 40 days, the incarnation of Christ on earth, his temptation, his ministry, his death on Good Friday, and resurrection on Easter Sunday. Who goeth in the way which Christ hath gone, Is much more sure to meet with him, than one That travelleth by-ways: Perhaps my God, though he be far before, May turn, and take me by the hand, and more May strengthen my decays. - George Herbert (1633)
